Colors’ show Balika Vadhu surged to such popularity that no show based on child marriage has come even close. Now Colors’ TV is trying to recreate the magic by bringing in one more show based on child marriage and the fans are just keeping their fingers crossed.

The channel has collaborated with renowned producers – Shashi Mittal and Sumeet Mittal, who have shows like Yeh Un Dino Ki Baat Hai and Diya Aur Baati Hum to their credits for this new show. As per previous reports, Pravisht Mishra of Suryaputra Karn fame has been roped to play the male lead while Arina Dey will be seen playing the female lead’s mother. Today the grapevines are abuzz that the makers have locked Ishq Ka Rang Safed fame Barsha Chatterjee to play a pivotal role.

As per the reports, the show will this time be set in a Bengali setting and hence the makers want Bengali actors to give the show a more realistic appeal. The storyline will revolve around a young girl who has to marry a grown-up man. Later, as the story moves forward, the male lead will make sure that the girl gets proper education and becomes a barrister.

Are you excited for the show? Well, we are.

Kangana Ranaut's determination adds fire and brimstone to this sports drama

Kangana Ranaut’s starrer Panga’s trailer is out now. It is a whirlwind of emotions. In Panga, Kangana plays Jaya who was once a state-level Kabaddi player. However, certain circumstances make her leave the sport. Her husband, played by Jassie Gill, and her son, motivate and encourage her to make a comeback. At the age of 32, Jaya makes her comeback and gets a chance to represent her country.

Kangana’s emotions are bang on and the middle-age women will totally relate with her character. Panga is an Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari directorial venture which also stars Neena Gupta, Richa Chaddha in key roles. Panga will release on 24 January 2020 and clash with Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor-starrer Street Dancer 3D.

BL Verdict: Kangana Ranaut is back with another finest performance of her career. It reminds you (slightly) of Aamir Khan’s Dangal.

Anurag Kashyap labels PM Modi as an 'Urban Nazi'

On Sunday, the filmmaker took to Twitter to express his mind and wrote, "Modi is #UrbanNazi".

He also retweeted a user's tweet, which reads: "Hear Modi speaking at #RamlilaMaidan, it is the language and frustration of a man who knows that he has done a monumental disaster but is too egoistic to even admit it. This language isn't becoming of a Prime Minister but then the Man himself was never becoming of a PM."

Another tweet retweeted by the filmmaker reads: "PM's speech in Ram Lila Maidan is utterly and jaw-droppingly baffling. He says NRC isn't being planned yet, but Amit Shah has been caught saying it so many times. PM says no detention centers, but it's already there. How can a person lie so, so blatantly?".

While delivering a speech at Delhi's Ramlila ground on Sunday, the Prime Minister had said: "Burn Modi's effigy, but do not burn public property. Hate me if you want to, but don't hate India. Burn my effigy, but don't burn a poor man's auto-rickshaw."

Taking a sarcastic dig at the speech, Anurag Kashyap shared a video of Adolf Hitler on Monday morning, where he apparently says: "I know who is hating me. Hate me it is your wish but don't hate Germany."

The filmmaker captioned the video: "hate me but don't hate India – bechare humare Pradhan Mantri #UrbanNazi."

He also posted a tweet in Hindi on Sunday evening which roughly translates to, "PM Sahab, the police are beating up the common people everywhere, who are either fighting back or fleeing. Several have been killed. It's not good to be so blind. If possible, visit a good eye specialist doctor, and try speaking a little bit about those who have actually died. Stop lying. #JaiSamvidhan".

Just a few days ago, the filmmaker had tweeted saying India is witnessing Emergency rule once again. This comes at a time when students and social activist groups across the country are protesting against the Citizenship Amendment Act 2019 (CAA).

Naira comes. She says I know you are much upset, I didn’t do anything intentionally, don’t know what fate we got, good thing is we can talk to each other, you can talk to me. Vedika says there is nothing. Naira goes and says I will pray that you get courage. Vedika recalls Pallavi’s words. She packs her bags and leaves. Dadi says I don’t trust Vedika, much has changed, I know her well. Suwarna says no. Dadi and Suwarna see Vedika with her bag. Vedika says Gayu asked me to get few things for decoration. She says I didn’t know you dislike me so much and think this about me. Dadi goes. Suwarna says really sorry, don’t feel bad. Vedika sees Kartik weds Naira…. board.

I really hope that people think this is my Highway (Alia Bhatt's film) [Exclusive]

Ananya Panday did not have the best of starts to her Bollywood innings with Student of the Year 2 neither performing to expectations at the box-office nor garnering her much appreciation for her acting skills. However, the lass came back strongly with her sophomore outing, Pati Patni Aur Woh setting right precisely the two aforementioned parameters. Of course, post the newfound success that's come her way, the comparisons with Alia Bhatt have been inevitable for two main reasons — one that the two actresses were launched by Karan Johar in the Student of the Year franchise and the seond being that both returned strongly in their followup with films and roles quite dichotomous from their debut. BollywoodLife recently got the opportunity to discuss this analogy with Ananya Panday, inquiring if the actress, too, felt the same way, and if Pati Patni Aur Woh could indeed be her Highway, opening exciting new doors and taking her career on a wonderful trajectory.

"I've never claimed to be perfect from the start. Student of the Year 2 was my first film and I obviously knew that I wasn't perfect and that I'm just learning and I'm just starting out. So, I think my main challenge is just getting better and better with each film. I really hope that people think this is my Highway, as you said, but I have a long way to go. I felt that the more different work I do, the more people will appreciate me," said Ananya.

On being jovially reminded that a "highway" is obviously associated with a "journey", Ananya laughingly acknowledged the fact. "A highway is a journey, exactly...exactly. And I have a highway to go."

Ananya also opened up on the transition phase between SOTY 2 and Pati Patni Aur Woh, revealing how she dealt with the interim period while also taking about an entire range of topics from being a fashion icon, youth icon, accumulating millions of followed on social media in no time, being admired by the youth, what she does to fit, the diet she follows, what are her comfort foods and when does she indulge in them. Check out her entire interview below:

Well, we've all seen her talent after Pati Patni Aur Woh, even Ananya Panday's harshest critics have acknowledged it. So, fingers crossed that the starlet keeps getting films such that challenges and keeps developing that budding talent of hers. Stay tuned to BollywoodLife for more scoops and updates.
