Suriya says he postponed the release of Yamudu 3 for Dhruva

December 9 was going to be a crucial date for the entertainment industry. We know that Ranveer Singh and Vaani Kapoor’s Befikre is releasing that day. In South, it is Ram Charan, Arvind Swamy and Rakul Preet’s Dhruva. Tamil superstar Suriya has postponed the release of the Telugu version of his Tamil film, Singam 3 i.e. Yamudu 3 to December 23. This is partly due to demonetisation that has affected the purchasing power of people. Singam 3 is a total masala entertainer with lot of action and drama. It also has Anushka Shetty and Shruti Haasan. The film is the third installment of the Singam franchise.

At a press meet in Hyderabad today, Suriya said his film will be a Christmas treat for all. G Sriniwas Kumar, the film’s publicist also tweeted to the effect.
Suriya also thanked top Telugu producer Allu Aravind for launching him in Telugu. “Ram Charan film is also like our family film. So we adjusted dates to let Dhruva rock at the box office,” said the Tamil superstar.

S3 or Yamudu 3 is a joint collaboration between KE Gnanavel Raja and Dhaval Jayantilal Gada under Studio Green, Pen Movies and Aadnah Arts. Suriya congratulated Raja for his 10 year journey in film production and also thanked him for supporting Karthi and him.

Malkapuram Sivakumar has reportedly paid Rs 18 crore for the rights of Yamudu 3 in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. He is said to have shelled out Rs 18 crore on the rights. It is the highest price for a film featuring Suriya, whose last costly outing was 24.
