Kahaani 2 – Durga Rani Singh is slowly and steadily creating right kind of buzz, which is a good sign for its makers. After successfully intriguing us with its trailer and three dialogue promos, they have released the fourth one and it adds to the mystery; what is the real identity of Vidya Balan’s character in the film. In the promo a senior office is asking Vidya, “if he should call her as Vidya Sinha or Durga Rani Singh?” and in another scene a woman is asking Arjun Rampal’s character, “If he thinks her story is true?” to which Arjun replies, “Why would anyone lie in their diary?” The crux of suspense in this film is going to be whether Vidya Balan is Vidya Sinha, the school teacher, or Durga Rani Singh, the kidnapper and murderer.

The film is going to be one hell of a thriller and going by the dialogue promos we’ve seen so far it may take the Kahaani franchise a notch higher. Both the films have nothing in common except the lead star Vidya Balan and her alleged name in the film, which may or may not be Vidya. Starring Vidya Balan and this time there is Arjun Rampal giving her company in this film as sub-inspector handling her case. Vidya Balan is leaving no stones unturned to promote her upcoming film and she even visited Facebook headquarters in Hyderabad, where she said, “I’m quite excited to visit the Facebook Headquarters in Hyderabad. It’ll be my first visit there for a Town Hall. And also our film is one of the few hindi movies to promote their film in the Facebook headquarters. We’ve been adopting unique marketing strategies for the promotions of Kahaani 2 and this should be fun.”
Releasing on December 2, the film stars Vidya Balan and Arjun Rampal among others.
