We have loved Vidya Balan’s Kahaani. And it’s almost unbelievable that director Sujoy Ghosh has come up with a sequel for the film, Kahaani 2 – Durga Rani Singh. Vidya returns as a new character, and is joined by Arjun Rampal in this new take. The trailer of the film has helped film garner a great buzz and with the dialogue promos which followed, we are sure booking our tickets for the first day first show. The 7th dialogue promo of the film has hit ball out of the park. We get to see Vidya in a raw avatar – kicking, biting, smashing frying pan on someone’s head. And all that in order to get back her daughter who is supposedly kidnapped. Ouch! You don’t mess with Vidya Balan for sure.
We know that Vidya’s character in the film slips into coma after getting in a road accident. Meanwhile Arjun Rampal, who plays a cop starts investigating her life, and finds out her daughter is missing, supposedly kidnapped. Vidya, in the film, is rumoured to be the notorious criminal Durga Rani Singh, wanted for kidnapping and murder. It will be quite interesting to see if Vidya is able to find her daughter and save her. And you know what Kahaani 2 – Durga Rani Singh dialogue promo 5 gives out a major spoiler. In that promo we see an injured Vidya, assumably out of the coma post the road accident, holding someone at gunpoint. And she is protecting a little girl next to her, who might be her daughter. OMG! So she indeed is able to save her daughter?
“We have Durga Rani Singh this time. When we set out to make this film, we made a very conscious decision not to have anything attached to ‘Kahaani’. We made a separate story; it has to be completely independent. We are going to be compared so rather not attach any spill over from ‘Kahaani’,” directors Ghosh said at the trailer launch of the film.
During the event Vidya Balan and the other cast were seen with a live size poster of Ashok Sharaf.
We know that legendary Marathi actor Ashok Saraf played the harrowed father of the girls. He made his presence felt through the poster.

ZEE T V completed 25 years recently and to mark the occasion, it has put together a three-hour long special episode which will have stars from iconic shows coming together. The Hum Paanch Reunion was part of the same episode.
