Shutter fight scene in Pokkiri

This one is a Thalapathy classic. Every hardcore Vijay fan loves this fight from Pokkiri. Filled with punch dialogues and a badass attitude from Vijay, the novel part about this scene is that the villain locks him with goons in a garage. But the end of the fight, the goons are begging for the shutter to be opened. Vijay’s transformation from someone being chased to chasing the goons is super entertaining to watch.

Kuruvi mine fight

This fight scene shows Vijay in a one on one battle with a big brute like guy who terrorises the mining people and makes a slave out of them all. Ilayathalapathy emerges as the man of the people and fights the brute. What is so good about this fight is the gritty nature of it, the two use everything around them including sand, rocks and wooden sticks to get the upper hand. Also the fact that it is one on one makes the fight a lot more believable. Not just that, Vijay ends up killing the bad guy after the fight which usually does not happen in his movies.

Shootout in Thuppakki

Well this has one of the most brilliant action scenes in a Vijay movie. Vijay, who plays an army officer, takes 11 army colleagues along with him to follow 12 people in total, who are actually sleeper cell terrorists. Each man finds himself following a terrorist each in different parts of Mumbai like Kurla, CST, Dharavi etc. Then in a single stroke and command of Vijay, who is connected to all via conference call he orders to shoot and all 12 soldiers pull the trigger killing the 12 terrorists in a single stroke. A brilliantly directed scene by AR Murugadoss, Vijay fans can be proud of this action scene for it puts Hollywood to shame with its cleverness.

Coin fight in Kaththi

This scene from Kaththi is the mother of all mass fight scenes. Vijay uses stealth in this one to take out an army of goons. Taking the cover of darkness he tosses a coin. As soon as his friend hears the sound of the coin, he turns on shuts the power for just a second. In this way, Vijay takes the bad guys one by one using the darkness. The novel nature of the fight scene along with the epic bgm by Anirudh makes the best fight scene of Ilayathalapathy. We are sure his fans would agree.

Theri rain fight

Vijay plays a loving father in Theri. So when a bunch of bad guys try to kill his daughter, Vijay transforms from a docile, simple baker to a fighting machine in a matter of seconds. The fight is more enhanced thanks to the rain and lightning effect making it visually impressive. Also the goons are not present in a very overwhelming number. They are just like 5 to 6 guys at the most and since Vijay is a police officer, we can believe him taking down these guys.
