This video of Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan before the Udta Punjab trailer launch takes awkwardness to a whole new level!

The tension between the former celeb couple couldn’t be more obvious

During the trailer launch of Udta Punjab, all the people had their eyes fixed on two actors, Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan. The two were a well known celeb couple who had a pretty bad fallout. Now both are happily married to their respective spouses, but still a sort of tension lingers. It was evident at the launch, but here is a video which makes it glaringly obvious.

All the four actors Shahid, Kareena, Alia and Diljit did a little live video before going to the trailer launch event. In this video, the beginning seemed decent enough and Shahid is talking about the film and how it is a very different concept. It was during this m0ment that he had a super awkward eye contact with Kareena. As soon as this happened, the entire team went really silent and Shahid suddenly found his cup of tea super interesting as he stared into it.

Sensing the tension in the room, Alia tried really hard to dissipate by talking for all of them and being over enthusiastic. But it was clearly written over the faces of all four actors that they are trying to cover things up. While it is really hilarious to see that even after many years, the dynamic between Shahid and Alia remains so strained, it is amazing that director Abhishek Chaubey managed to shoot with them both the celebs.
