Sona Mohapatra: Who will put us out of work? Salman Khan??!! That 'talented' thug?

The singer takes on his fans again and doesn’t leave the actor either…

Salman Khan‘s rape remark outraged the whole nation. The sheer callousness with which he mentioned the word left everyone shocked. People are not ready to listen to the fact that he did say ‘I shouldn’t have’ after making that comment. Salim Khan, his father, even asked everyone to forgive him but people are relentless. While Kangana Ranaut is perhaps the only A-list star who called it insensitive and horrible, it was only singer Sona Mohapatra who called out the actor on Twitter strongly. Obviously, she isn’t going to be spared by his chest-thumping fans and she wasn’t. She got badly trolled but she didn’t stop her tirade. After slamming Salman on Twitter, she wrote on her Facebook account about the gangrape of a 21 year old in Bihar and also said how she doesn’t think she needs to fear Salman Khan.

Sona writes, “A 21 year old was brutally gang raped in Bihar’s Motihari town. Guns & wooden sticks inserted into her, putting her in a critical condition. The culprits are absconding. Yet again.Meanwhile Soni Sori has been fasting for the 9th day to get justice for other such brutalised & killed women in Chattisgarh. No TV news debate on this. No glamour there I suppose. Every time I was called to opine on these debates the last few days, the moment I brought up the bigger issue that needs to be talked about & not merely what I said about a comment made by an imbecile..silence..no takers. So I avoided them all.” Nobody has a doubt who the singer is hinting at here. She even went on to say how she was threatened due to all this. She spoke how she received many death and rape threats for her stand against Salman Khan.

Sona also spoke about the threat she received of going out of work for her statement against the actor. She says strongly, “Who will put us out of ‘work’?? Salman Khan??!! That ‘talented’ (!?) thug? I don’t think so. I can think of 100 different ways to make a living & thrive but I will choose to sing & perform my music till the last day. Not him, not anyone can stop that.”
