Bigg Boss 10 promo review: Salman Khan's turn as an astronaut makes the wait for the most disputed reality show extremely difficult!

It’s that time of the year again. Salman Khan is back with another season of Bigg Boss. The promo launched today has set the right tone for what to expect from the tenth season of India’s biggest reality show. The uniqueness about the show this time is the fact that there won’t be any celebrity contestants but common men and women. The reason for change was the fact that Bigg Boss season 9 got a lukewarm response from the viewers and that prompted makers to change the format of the show. The host Salman Khan himself was also in two minds whether he’ll be returning for the show for another season, but he is back again and we heaved a sigh of relief. Can’t imagine Bigg Boss without Salman Khan. Last year it was reported that that the Sultan actor charged a whopping Rs 7-8 crores for one episode of Bigg Bos 9. But a source revealed, “Salman has always hiked his fee for Bigg Boss, but this time he will be taking a pay cut. He wants Colors to put a chunk of money into Being Human.” Clearly charity has become a priority for Salman now.

The thirty second promo features Salman Khan as an astronaut in space with another astronaut in the background. He lands on the moon and talks about how history was created when man landed on the moon for the first time or when a chicken broke out of the egg for the first time. And similarly this time, the common men and women will be in the house as contestants for the first time. He promises to create history and what will happen in the house is still a mystery. Like always and like in every promo of Bigg Boss, Salman can be seen cheerfully smiling with a mischievous twinkle in his eyes while he narrates what to expect from the show.

It is reported that Salman wasn’t kicked about wearing the suit and there’s a reason behind that. Your favourite Bhai is that he is claustrophobic. Yes, it’s quite alarming but Salman suffers from it and the suit thus wasn’t something he was looking forward to. But then he is an actor and has to do certain things for his profession. Thus he wore it but the promo shoot was done very meticulously so that he isn’t inconvenienced because of his condition. We shared with you a picture of Bhai from the sets of the shoot along with Ashley Rebello, who designed the suit.

The promo looks interesting and intriguing. But I still doubt if viewers will be interested enough to watch fellow commoners in the vicinity of Bigg Boss house.

What’s Hot:

The outlook of promo is different and sets the right tone for what to expect. The astronaut angle works as Salman Khan has never been seen in an astronaut costume. And it’s a welcome change for his fans. The thirty second promo ends with a coming soon and fans of Bigg Boss and Salman Khan will be intrigued to know the launch date of the tenth season. Interesting thing to note here is how Salman’s gonna handle bunch of commoner in the house as since last six seasons he’s been handling out of work celebrities. Some of whom have been his close buddies. He is also been accused of being biased and supporting his friends in the house by viewers and many previous contestants on the show. Also he is known to have various scuffles with the contestants like with Imam Siddiqui, Sky walker and Sapna Bhawnani. Will he maintain his superstar image or will we see him get into an argument or two with commoners? Moreover, how commoners gonna behave and react in front of the superstar. Too much to know about the show now.

What’s Not:

The only problem in the promo is Salman Khan’s face! No don’t get me wrong he looks great in the costume, it’s just that he looks sort of tired in the promo. May be Bhai needs some rest. Hopefully, by the time the episode shoots begin, he will look fresh.

In order to get the contestants on board, the channel launched a new promo at the finale of Bigg Boss season 9 and asked the people of India to apply for the same. The contestant can be of any field but entertainment. The commoners were asked to record a video clip speaking about themselves, their work, their likes, dislikes and how are they gonna react or handle the situations of the house.

The details of the house are still unknown but as far as the host Salman Khan’s pad is concerned it has three new additions, according to reports, “The Bigg Boss house will be in Lonavala. Next to the set, the team is erecting a chalet-style lodge for #SalmanKhan. The chalet will have a verandah and a gym. He also insisted on a designated enclosure for his dogs, though he’s never brought them to the sets. There’s a kitchen in the chalet too but #SalmanKhan hasn’t asked for a cook since his mother sends him a dabba when he’s out.” As revealed above, Salman generally doesn’t take his dogs on the sets of BB, however he might have decided to spend some more time with them and so he has requested for this to be made!

It’ll also be interesting to see how Salman juggles between the show and his shoot of Tubelight as reported by us earlier he’ll be leaving for Manali in a few days to shoot for the film.

Overall we are quite excited to see what Bigg Boss has in store for us. Let’s see if this gamble by the channel pays off or this season turns out to be a dud like the previous one.
