Revealed: Details about Ranbir Kapoor's character in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil

There is something about the name of his character that you should notice…

Just a few hours to go for the release of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’s teaser. We all have been super excited about the Ranbir Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Anushka Sharma starrer film since the announcement. And last night Karan Johar, director and producer of the film, added fuel to the fire by releasing three back to back posters. The posters looked pretty great and set up a romantic mood for the film. Not much has been divulged about the film till now. But according to a leading daily the character he plays is named Aayan. Hey isn’t that Ranbir’s BFF’s name? Ayan Mukherjee. Quite a coincident that is.

Also, Ranbir Kapoor will be playing the role of singer whose musical journey takes him across the distance. He will be seen dancing to the tunes of seventies and eighties along with Anushka Sharma. Anushka’s character is named Alizeh. Now, that is one beautiful name. We wonder if there will be character named Naina in this film as well, like many of Dharma Productions’ films. Aayan and Alizeh are fans of the music from eighties and seventies and in one sequence in the film, they will dance on a medley of songs from that era.

There have been speculations that the film is based on the hit Hindi classic Doosra Aadmi, but Karan has consistently denied the reports. He says the film is absolutely not about infidelity, like Doosra Aadmi or his own film Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna, but purely about love and how it makes you.

The movie also stars Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. You should be prepared to witness hot and sizzling chemistry between her and Ranbir. A sensuous song will soon be picturised on the pair in foreign locales soon.

The movie also stars Lisa Haydon, Fawad Khan and Imran Abbas Naqvi in key roles. Fawad’s role might be a cameo but is an integral part of the plot. He brings the required conflict in the story. The first look of Fawad from the film, that was released last night, definitely has us asking for more of him. Well, just a few hours more and we will get a proper look at him in the teaser.

Not just the teaser but the music of the film will be released today as well on digital platforms. Music composer Pritam is pretty excited about the title track.
