Shah Rukh Khan shooting for The Ring in Prague is making Bollywood worried - here's why!

Apparently the city is not too lucky for Bollywood and box office.

Shah Rukh Khan is making a lot of waves in Prague with those oh-so-intense pics of his from the sets of The Ring there. He plays a womanising guide in the film that also stars Anushka Sharma and directed by Imtiaz Ali.

Now Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma have worked before in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi and Jab Tak Hai Jaan, but this is the first time both of them are working with Imtiaz Ali.

While that is an exciting matter for their fans, the choice of the city where they are shooting is making some of the people in the industry worried.

Why you ask?

As per a report in DNA, Prague is not a very lucky city for Bollywood. Imtiaz Ali has previously shot for Ranbir Kapoor’s Rockstar in Prague, which, though very critically appreciated, was not a hit at the box office. Other films that have been shot in the city were Meenaxi: A Tale of Three Cities, which again tanked, and Duplicate, also starring Shah Rukh Khan, was a dud in his career, despite having him in a double role.

So since both Imtiaz Ali (Rockstar) and Shah Rukh Khan (Duplicate) did not have hits there, people are worried about whether The Ring will also meet a similar fate. And since Bollywood is so obsessed with luck and superstition, we surely can’t blame them.
