Gauri Khan, wife of Bollywood’s ‘Badshah’ Shah Rukh Khan, has made a place for herself as an entrepreneur and a designer. She says “staying curious” about things keeps her inspired and helps her narrate her vision through her designs. “I’m truly passionate about designing. I love walking into an empty room and imagining what it could be. My inspiration comes from travelling to different locations. Staying curious keeps me inspired,” Gauri told IANS here.

She was here on Sunday to be part of the a luxury car’s drive, a customer engagement programme by the luxury car maker.

Gauri, who has established herself as an interior designer as well as fashion designer, got associated with the initiative to showcase her collection ‘Gauri Khan Designs’, while celebrity chef Ritu Dalmia doled out some lip-smacking Italian delicacies at the event.

So what all changes do you spot in the industry? “I see the emerging trend towards brass and warm gold-tones gathering pace and the popularity of copper and bronze hues continuing,” she said.

About her association with the drive event, she said: “It has been an honour to be associated with a brand of such an elite class.”

Gauri is also into interior designing and only recently, did Ranbir Kapoor’s house. The actor bought a new pad after breaking up with Katrina Kaif and will move into the house this October. Earlier we had reported how Shah Rukh Khan’s wifey Gauri Khan and Ranbir have been bonding big time. In fact, they had even gone shopping for the décor of his house when the two were in London. And now looks like the designer has almost completed the work and promised RK to hand over his flat in October.

Tabloid reported that, “Gauri has been working on the place since the last couple of months with Ranbir’s specifications in mind. Gauri has done the interiors of SRK and her own heritage bungalow, Mannat, and other hi-profile homes in the past, but doesn’t like talking shop. In this case Ranbir approached her himself and since he is a friend, she was happy to share her expertise with him. The look of RK’s new abode will have a mix of both arts and history, like he wanted. The duo has had long discussions on the décor and has gone shopping for curios sourced from across the world. He now plans to move in by October, they are meeting the deadline well”.
