Comedy Nights Live: Radhika Apte, RGV, Lisa Ray and Meet Bros grace the show

Shweta Pandit’s singing and Scarlett Wilson’s belly dancing were some of other highlights

It was quite a motley of celebrities on the comedy show this evening. We had the Meet Bros, singer Shweta Pandit, hotties Sana Khan and Scarlett Wilson, Radhika Apte, Ram Gopal Varma and Lisa on the show.

They had the Nalla Awards where look alikes of Saif Ali Khan, Salman Khan, Emraan Hashmi were called on stage. They had managed to get some good candidates and it was kind of amusing.

The second half was better than the first. In fact, in the initial part we had Sudesh Lehri playing the part of late ghazal maestro Jagjit Singh. Now, this was clearly not funny. Comedy is something but a crude impersonation of someone who is deceased is just not done.

This was followed by the usual cow dung, potty jokes and innuendoes, which is inseparable from comedy shows nowadays. Post this, Scarlett Wilson came on stage and showed off her fabulous belly dancing. It was nice to see some dance after the musical act by Shweta Pandit.

Radhika Apte was there to promote Phobia while Ram Gopal Varma and Lisa Ray spoke about Killing Veerappan. The lady looked gorgeous in an icy blue gown and Mika Singh got a selfie clicked with her. Bharti Singh made fun of RGV’s humourless demeanour and even tickled him to make him laugh. RGV who is known for his dry humour smiled a bit. Talk about laughing effortlessly!
