Karan Johar is one of the few filmmakers in the industry who doesn’t need a Khan to make his film a success! Yes, he needed a Khan (make that two Khan’s) to make his debut film, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, a grand success. His later films also had Shah Rukh Khan playing the lead. But Student of The Year had new actors and yet it was a success. Now he is working on Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and the only Khan in the film is Fawad Khan. The film which has Ranbir Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Anushka Sharma in the lead roles, will be releasing later this year and marks his sixth directorial venture.
So what are Karan Johar movies famous for? Hmm…let’s make a checklist – Good looking starcast, wonderful music, heart-felt emotions, light humour, good choreography and a touching climax. Plus, watch out for the cameos. In short, his films are nearly a perfect Bollywood treat.
