Ankit Gera to make a comeback on the daily fiction space with Zee TV's new show!

Fans of Ankit Gera who were missing seeing him on the small screen have something to rejoice about. The actor will be back on TV soon. The buzz is that Ankit will make a comeback on ZEE TV. Yes, the actor’s superhit show, Sapne Suhaane Ladakpan Ke was also on the same channel. It will be produced by Ravi Raj, who is a well-known director in the TV industry. He has helmed shows like Swaragini, Saubhagyalakshmi and Silsila Pyaar Ka. In fact, he was with Swaragini till sometime back. The show was shining brightly under his leadership. The buzz is that Ravi Raj is planning a social drama for ZEE TV.

The channel will be coming up with many new shows in the next few months. Offshore Productions and Jyoti Gupta are also producing two shows for the channel. It seems Ankit Gera will be roped in as the main lead of the show. The actor’s name has been doing the rounds since many months now. After his exit from Bigg Boss 9, he was supposed to be the main protagonist in Ekta Kapoor’s Kavach then titled Mangalsutra with Ragini Khanna. However, that did not materialise. In between, he did a cameo on Badi Door Se Aaye Hain.

Ankit started his TV career with the show Mahi Way, after that he played the role of Adarsh Saxena in Pratigya. The actor has had a long association with Zee TV. He became hugely popular as Mayank Garg with Sapne Suhaane Ladakpan Ke. It was where he met his ex-flame Roopal Tyagi who played Gunjan on the show. He also essayed the role of Bhasma in Maharakshak Devi. Ankit was last seen on the show Jai Santoshi Maa.

The reliable source added, “The interesting social drama will see Ankit Gera playing the lead role. The casting process is presently on.” Also, a new face Shravani Sahay has been selected to play the parallel lead, while the hunt is still on for the female lead of the show.

Ankit’s stint on Bigg Boss 9 was also quite uneventful. He was paired with Arvind Vedga in the first round and got eliminated quite soon. People were expecting a lot of fireworks as his ex-girlfriend, Roopal Tyagi was also inside the house. However, that did not happen. It was a rather thanda experience.
