Aamir Khan REACTS on the AE Dil Hai Mushkil controversy

Aamir Khan REACTS on the AE Dil Hai Mushkil controversy

Aamir Khan is definitely a happy man today after the release of his upcoming movie Dangal’s trailer yesterday. Entire industry and the Twitteratis went gaga over it and trade experts have even cited that this shall be the biggest movie, profits wise so far. It will easily outdo his previous release PK. We were wondering when the actor had promised a grand launch for his trailer, what made him release it on a social media platform? Why did Aamir change his decision at the last moment? It could be the fact that the actor wanted to avoid answering questions about the whole controversy which surrounded the decision about the ban on Pakistani artists working in India. However the actor who attended the inaugaration of the ongoing MAMI festival in Mumbai with his co- stars Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Shaikh had to face the same questions. At a press meet there when he was asked what does he feel about MAMI rejecting to screen a Pakistani movie and Fawad Khan being banned in India, the actor smartly ignored answering it. He merely said, “This is something you need to ask MAMI and not me.” When the reporters tried asking him further about it, he decided to ignore the questions and left with the reel Phogat sisters from the venue. Should we say this is the scenario of once bitten, twice shy? Well it looks so. The actor was earlier targeted last year for his comments on India being intolerant. He had said that, “Kiran and I have lived all our lives in India. For the first time, she said, should we move out of India? That’s a disastrous and big statement for Kiran to make to me. She fears for her child. She fears about what the atmosphere around us will be. She feels scared to open the newspapers everyday. That does indicate that there is a sense of growing disquiet.” The statement didn’t go down well with the political leaders in India as they decided to voice their opposition for it. They even asked the actor to leave India if he feels unsafe here. Following the controversy, the actor was even dropped as the tourism brand ambassador of India and replaced by Amitabh Bachchan.

When a statement by him could create so many chaos in the industry, the actor might have decided to play safe this time around. With his movie nearing it’s release, we are sure he wants to take no chances with it.
