Bigg Boss 10: Gaurav Chopra proposes marriage to Akansha Sharma?

The atmosphere inside the Bigg Boss house has heated up and…how that too right in the first week. Last night’s episode of Salman Khan’s show was high on entertainment given all the fights between Rohan Mehra and Priyanka Jagga, but what got us talking was Gaurav Chopra’s marriage proposal to the fellow contestant Akansha Sharma. Yes, if Om Swami’s words are anything to go by then the TV actor asked Yuvraj Singh’s bhabhi to marry him.

Om Swami, who is proving to be a mastermind of this season was seen discussing or rather bitching about Gaurav and Akansha with co-commoner Navin Prakash. According to Swami, Gaurav confessed his love for Akansha and asked her to marry him. It just didn’t end there for Swami also went on for a full character assassination of Akansha saying that “jiske andar itne avgun ho, usko ek celebrity ne kaha shaadi karunga toh usko to saakshat poora brahmand mil gaya (the lady, who is herself full of faults, so when a celebrity proposed marriage to her, then it must mean everything to her)”. Now, this was uncalled for. Just because, she is separated from her husband Zorawar Singh and that their marriage lasted only for four months, that doesn’t give Swami the right to cast aspersions on her character. But then the man is downright creepy and disgusting with his statements. We realised this right from the pilot episode when he was speaking (almost bragging) to the special guest Deepika Padukone about how he assaulted actress Elizabeth Hurley because her dress was too revealing (he says he “cured her of her chronic backache” with the kick but spoke at length about her clothes). The Piku actress, who entered the house for a brief period of time managed to leave without losing her cool, but her raised eyebrows and shocked silence said it all.
