Alia Bhatt to join Ranbir Kapoor and Ayan Mukerji for Dragon by the end of this year!

That Ranbir Kapoor-Ayan Mukerji superhero film called Dragon? It’s finally going on floors.

Ranbir Kapoor is all set to collaborate with his director buddy Ayan Mukerji for a superhero flick. While initially there were a lot of reports stating that the superhero film won’t be happening and what not. But turns out, finally, Ranbir and Ayan have spilled the beans on the existence of the project. Named, Dragon, the film franchise will have three parts in it. The work for the first part will start by August. The leading lady for the film too has been locked and it’s none other than the talented lassie, Alia Bhatt. Yes, the latest is, Alia Bhatt is joining the boys.

This marks RK’s first pairing with Alia, something both actors have wanted for a while now. In fact, Ranbir had featured in the promotions of Imtiaz Ali’s Highway (see pic alongside) and had implored him to cast them together in an upcoming film (which still hasn’t happened, in case you were wondering). Dragon also marks Ayan’s third film with RK. He has repeated his actor buddy in both his previous films Wake Up Sid and Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani. But the heroine (Konkona Sensharma in Wake Up Sid, Deepika Padukone in YJHD and now, Alia in Dragon) has always changed.

Alia confirms she’s part of the cast, saying, “Yes, I am doing Ayan’s film with Ranbir. We begin at the end of the year.” If you remember, Ayan, Ranbir and Alia’s pic from London was the final proof required to learn that the Dear Zindagi actress is very much a part of this superhero flick.
