OH NO! Hindi dubbed version of Rajinikanth's Kabali to bring losses to the distributors?

The Hindi version was supposedly sold for Rs 35 crores!

Rajinikanth may have made history on Friday with some earth shattering records for kabali. But the thing with history is, it is constantly changing to add new facts!

Before the release of Kabali, the hype over the film was beyond belief! After that dull phase over the failures of Lingaa and Kochadaiiyaan, it seemed that Rajinikanth has got back his box office pull! The teaser for Kabali was brilliant, and created a lot of curiosity! The Neruppu Da song, man, what an anthem! It was a factor enough to pull crowds enough in the theatres.

Like expected the film opened to an amazing start at the box office breaking records left, right and centre. It got the highest opening for a film in Tamil Nadu, Kerala as well as for any Indian film overseas. Though it didn’t manage to beat Baahubali’s opening day record in India, the Hindi dubbed version of the film got around Rs 5 crores on opening day.

So far so good!

However the Hindi dubbed version of the film has been sold for Rs 35 crores, and after the film’s release, it has got mixed to negative reviews thanks to a predictable plot and average direction! So for a film that has been sold at such a high rate, the collections received on Day 1 is pretty average. With the miserable reviews and the lacklustre response received for the Hindi trailer, expect it to dip down further.

So this time even Rajinikanth can’t save Kabali, it seems!
