Oppam trailer: Mohanlal's blind act in the mystery thriller is interesting!

Oppam trailer: Mohanlal’s blind act in the mystery thriller is interesting!

The film is directed by Priyadarshan.

Oppam definitely has a very interesting plot – a blind man gets embroiled in a murder case, where he can sense the killer but is not believed by anyone because of his disability!

Directed by Priyadarshan who has decided to return to his roots in Malayalam cinema, the film stars Mohanlal in the lead role of the blind man and a father to a sweet kid. The trailer of this murder mystery had been attached to the theatrical prints of Kabali in Kerala and was released today.

Having seen the trailer, we can definitely say that the film looks promising. The plot looks captivating – a blind man wanting to catch a killer, despite his disability, before the killer catches up with him. Mohanlal and Priyadarshan, two of the oldest friends in Mollywood, return to make a hopefully great thriller! The last time they worked together was in the horribly disastrous horror Geetanjali, that marked the debut of Keerthy Suresh.

However Oppam promises to wipe out the memories of their previous outing, at least that’s what the trailer hints at!

The film also stars Vimala Raman (who will be seen in a Malayalam film after a long time), Nedumudi Venu, Ranji Panicker, Anusree, Chemban Vinod, Siddique and others.

Priyadarshan is desperately looking for a hit here since, his last few films haven’t worked well at the box office. Before Geetanjali, even his Malayalam remake of Malamaal Weekly, Aamayum Muyalum, was a flop. Even his Bollywood career had stalled thanks to a few duds like Tezzz, Mere Baap Pehle Aap, Aakrosh etc. So let’s hope that Oppam brings him back to the big league once again.
