Brahmarakshas promo review: Krystle D’Souza’s bridal blush is ruined by a MONSTER!

The thriller will start on Zee TV every weekend from August 6

It has been quite some time since Krystle D’Souza was seen on TV. The lady played the progressive and supportive daughter-in-law on Ekk Nayi Pehchaan. The show went off air in December 2014.

Two years later, she is back on TV as a newly married bride. Krystle D’Souza is the lead of Ekta Kapoor’s finite series for ZEE TV titled Brahmarakshas – Jaag Utha Shaitaan. She is one of the pretty gals around and looks lovely as the newly wedded bride, whose happiness is ruined by a monster. The handsome Aham Sharma is her main lead. He is still fresh is viewers’ minds as Arjun from Manmarziyaan, where he was paired with Monica Sehgal. Fans are extremely excited about this new jodi.

The promo shows a young couple coming to the village of Kamalpura. They were totally in love but unaware of the danger lurking there. Krystle is the one targeted by a shadow that is scary. The actress looks visibly scared in the promo and Aham and she are looking great together on screen.

Brahmarakhsas is reportedly based on the film Jaani Dushman that starred Sanjeev Kumar and Sunil Dutt. It was about a demonic creature that targeted young brides. The premise seems to be the same. As per reports, Kishwer Merchant will play Aparajita who dumps her lover/would-be husband played by Parag Tyagi. The actor is a regular with Balaji Telefilms. He is best known as Archana’s (Ankita Lokhande) brother from Pavitra Rishta. He was also in Jodha Akbar. Jilted in love, he will turn into a demon. Actress Rakshanda Khan is also a part of the show as Mohini.

The concept of Brahmarakhsas is derived from the Puranas where Brahmins who got cursed due to some reason or the other transformed into demonic beings. A similar premise was used in Vikram Bhatt’s Creature 3D that starred Bipasha Basu and Imran Abbas. This is the first supernatural thriller on ZEE TV and one that promises to cater to the rural audience.
